Ginger Wisnoski —
Teacher of the Year
Oberlin Elementary School would like to congratulate Ginger Wisnoski as our Teacher of the Year. Ginger is entering her 12th year as an educator, with her entire teaching career dedicated to first grade instruction. She earned a bachelor's degree in human services, complemented by a minor in psychology, from Upper Iowa University. Ginger subsequently obtained her alternative teaching certification from Northwestern State University. In addition, she holds a master's degree in education, as well as an add-on certification in Supervision and Administration, both conferred by Northwestern State University. Ginger has been married for 30 years and is the mother of three sons and grandmother of two. A native of Oberlin, she graduated from Oberlin High School and is delighted to have returned to her roots. For Ginger, teaching is an immense source of joy and passion. She has articulated that she cannot conceive of a greater privilege than contributing to the educational development and growth of children.
